I am fascinated by the method of Korean Moon Jar making. The potters throw the two halves (top and bottom) separately and later the top and the bottom are put together to make a whole piece. Korean people embrace the asymmetry and delight in the beauty in imperfection.
With being influenced by Korean Moon Jar, I first hand-built two separate piece (top and bottom) with coiling technique to create the prototypes. Yellow glaze is applied on the seam line.
